We conduct Discipline-based Education Research (DBER) workshops as part of Faculty Development Program (FDP) for undergraduate biology faculty, teachers, educators, researchers in various themes for developing evidence based teaching practices, modules for classroom and lab.

The FDP aligns with the National Educational Policy (NEP) 2020 guidelines on capacity-building programs for STEM faculty to improve the quality of higher education through updated disciplinary knowledge, innovative pedagogy, experiential learning, research orientation, inclusion, and stronger student outcomes.

We conduct research based studies in the following areas:

• Investigating UG biology students’ understanding of experimentation and experimental design
• Using diagnostic questions to investigate UG biology students’ understanding of matter and energy
