Prof. B. M. Udgaonkar (1927-2014)

Ex-Chair, HBCSE Committee (1975-1991)

Prof. B. M. Udgaonkar, a distinguished theoretical physicist and educationist, retired in 1991  as a senior Professor at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research.

Prof. Udgaonkar was instrumental in establishing in 1974 the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE). From 1975 to 1991 he served as Chair of the Management Board of HBCSE. Prof. B. M. Udgaonkar expired on December 21, 2014.
