Materials development

  • Development of questionnaire for In-service teachers to know their views and beliefs about mathematics, its teaching and learning , self efficacy and beliefs about students.
  • Development of a questionnaire for Education officers to know their views and beliefs about mathematics, its teaching and learning.

  • Development of a questionnaire for B.Ed trainees to asses their mathematical content knowledge for some topics like fractions, addition and subtraction and assessing their beliefs about mathematics, its teaching and learning through tasks related to teaching

Sessions conducted in workshops

  • Conducted one session in the workshop for Education officers of KV system on 'Supporting teacher professional development'.

  • Conducted 2 sessions in KV middle school teachers workshop on 'Use of contexts in mathematics teaching' and analyzing videos of teaching titled as 'An inquiry into classroom' and organized presentations of teachers (with help of other members of math group) who were participating in the long term project.

  • Conducted a session for B. Ed trainees focusing on discussing beliefs related to mathematics teaching on 14 feb. 2011. Also participated in design of the workshop for B. Ed trainees .

Invited talks

  • Gave an Invited lecture in K. J. Somaiya Comprehensive college of Education, Training and Research on 10 Feb. 2011 on the topic of 'Beliefs and practices for teaching mathematics with understanding'.

  • Attended Episteme 4 conference held at HBCSE from 5-9 January, 2011

  • Attended and presented paper in National seminar on Current Issues in Teacher Education held at CASE, Dept. of Education, Faculty of Education and Psychology, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara from 14-15 march 2011.
