Classics in Mathematics Education Research (Reading course)

This course will be a self study course based on the book with the same title published by NCTM. Participants will do a close reading of 8 to 10 papers included in the volume, write short summaries for each paper. Each paper will be discussed with the course instructor/teaching assistants. At the end of the course, participants will write a short term paper reviewing additional important articles in a chosen research area. Assessment will be based on discussions on the readings and the final term paper.
