Outline of the course:

Covered aspects of learning and thinking within a developmental perspective. Was focussed on memory, thought and language, analysing arguments, critical thinking, decision making, problem-solving and creative thinking. Targeted at research scholars it was also attended by scientific, academic and project staff of the centre. The course could be taken for credits and participants were graded on the basis of assignments and class participation. It consisted of approximately 20 lectures of two hours each. Though several books were used as reference,The course mainly relied on:

   a)  Knowledge and Thought, an Introduction to Critical thinking;
        D.Halpern, Lawrence Earlbaum Associates, 1996.

   b)  Theories of developmental psychology; P.H Miller, W.H Freeman and Co,1983.
