Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education plans to organise Vigyan Vividha 2009, a festival of science and technology. This festival is a part of the birth centenary celebrations of Dr. Homi Bhabha.
This festival includes pavilions on space, health, climate and weather, atomic energy, astronomy, design and craft and teaching modules, which offer opportunities to students from school and college, teachers and parents to know about the developments in these areas. This is a rare chance for all participants to engage in hands-on activities in science, design, technology and mathematics.
Vigyan Vividha 2009 will have a variety of formats for interaction: lectures, demonstrations, competitions, puzzles, games, projects, movies and performances, sale of books and educational materials, and many more.
Request to Publicize
We request all schools and colleges to publicise this event among their students, teachers and local communities to enable their participation in the event in large numbers.
Appeal to educational institutions
We appeal to educational institutions, research organisations, government departments, voluntary agencies, associations and organisations of teachers and educators, etc. to offer to set up pavilions. Area of about 200 sq ft (20 sq m) will be made available for each pavilion at no charge.
Interested groups and individuals may send a one page summary of the proposed activities to the address given below on or before Saturday, October 10, 2009.
