Curriculum Vitae

Current Research Interests:

  1. Research in Digital Materials (Nanostructural Semiconductors), Quantum Physics and Science Education.
  2. Promoting Research in Undergraduate Community. A large number of students, several undergraduates, have their maiden international publication under his guidance. (See Maiden Publications with Students)
  3. Solving and Designing Challenging Problems in Physics. He has also been associated with several national talent tests such as Indian Institute of Technology - Joint Entrance Exam (IIT-JEE), Physics Olympiad, Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY), Nationwide Education and Scholarship Test (NEST), National Talent Search Examination (NTSE), among others.

Dr. Vijay A. Singh obtained his Ph. D. degree from State University of New York, Albany, USA in 1978 for research on the electronic structure of disordered materials under Prof. Laura Roth. He simultaneously carried out research in deep defects in semiconductors and path integral methods in quantum physics.
